Description
The mysteriously attractive Nag Tibba Trek in the hinterlands of Garhwal is one of the best trekking destinations for the weekends, it has the maximum altitude of 9,915 ft. and is perfectly suitable for beginners as it does not cause any altitude sickness; instead, it will be an exciting trek. If you are staying in and around Delhi Nag Tibba will be the perfect trekking destination for you. You will be able to explore the highest peak of the Nag Tibba range in the lesser Himalayas, for a refreshing weekend in the calm depths of forested mountains. Mussoorie Famous as "the queen of hills" can also be explored in these couple of days. The trek will begin from a rocky ascent starting from Pantwari, a place near Dehradun-Mussoorie, and on the way ahead, you will reach the trail that enters the grove of oaks and rhododendrons. You will be welcomed with summer blossoms and greenery, while winter comes with an abundance of snow. The campsite will be at the edge of the forest after the night becomes clear. You overlook the undulations of the Lesser Himalayan green slopes expanding far and beyond. The trail takes you up to the Nag Tibba base, Known for the famous temple which is dedicated to the serpent god (Naag Devta), and from there, you will reach the top of the Nag Tibba Mountain. Moving ahead, you can view the sight of gradually unveiling the Gangotri group of peaks. From the high point of Nag Tibba Mountain, from the top of Nag Tibba Bandarpoonch, Kedarnath, and Chanabang, all are absolutely mesmerizing snow peaks of the Garhwal Himalayas, can be seen.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 - Dehradun to Pantwari village and trek to Campsite
- We will pick you up from Dehradun railway station around 7 in the morning, starting on a 4-hour uphill drive to village Panthwari at 4,640 ft. The road passes through a Mussoorie-the queen of hills, to Kempty Falls, and with the Yamuna river trailing our side on to Nainbagh from where we turn on the Nag TIbba road, reaching Panthwari at around 12 pm.
- At Panthwari, we will have a filling lunch and after some rest at 2:30 pm, head off for the trek. Thirty minutes into the trek, you will come across a cluster of thatched-roofed huts, a small village on cliffs, lined with terrace farmlands.
- After a while, the rocky mountain trail enters a thicket of oak and rhododendron and the ascent curve almost levels out. You will reach your campsite by 5:30 pm. Overnight stay in tents.
Day 2 - Campsite to Nag Tibba top and return to Pantwari Village and drive to Dehradun
- Day 2 needs to start very early as it’s a long day ahead. After catching a quick breakfast, finishing by 5:00 am, we start on the hike to the top. A trail on the right of the campsite continues through a thick forest cover.
- The trail will turn through a ridge and finally take you to the flag marking Nag Tabbi jhandi, or summit. The view from the summit brings us face to face with the Garhwal Himalaya’s most amazing. The canvas of the sky lights up with ice-capped ranges of Bandarpoonch, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Kala Nag, and more.
- Spend some time on the top, then make the way down by the same trail. Lunch will be at the camp.
- Panthwari will be reached by sundown and a 4-5 hour drive from there will take you Dehradun from where you can arrange an overnight journey.

Book any other trek till one year or get 95% refund.

Choose to go for the same trek, with any other batch, till year or get 70% refund.
Cancellation between 14 days and 10 days to the start of the trek
Choose to go on the same trek, in the same season, with any other batch or get 50% refund.
Cancellation less than 10 days to the start of the trek
Transfer your trek (same trek, same batch) to your friend. No cash refund.
