Har Ki Dun will be an adventurous trek as its trail paves through some of the villages that are nearly 2,000 years old. It helps you know more about the place and the people residing here in this ancient valleys. This trek's natural beauty is a paradise on earth for the lovers of nature, adventurers, and enthusiastic photographers. You may spot different species of birds here in this region, which is why so many bird lovers and photographers visit every year. You can capture the beauty and breathtaking views on the trail, which will be a beautiful experience.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - Drive from Sankri to Taluka | Trek from Taluka to Pauni Garaat

    • You need to present at the meeting point in the morning (exact time and place will be sent by the seller after the booking). It is advisable that you should reach Sankri a day before the trek commences.
    • On day 1, we start on our drive from Sankri to Taluka approximately 8 in the morning. This short drive through gradually thickening forests and streams cutting through the path over boulders will closely introduce us to the terrain of our trek.
    • Reaching Taluka, another village of the same lineage found on this trek, and trekkers will be invited to collect refreshments before getting started on the hike.
    • The whole way along the river is ideal for photo compositions and provides shade too. We approach the rest point for lunch by the Supin tributary that we crossed before at around 1 in the noon.
    • Pauni Garaat, a green clearing on the banks of Supin at its vibrant best arrives at late in the afternoon as the Sun begins to dip, welcome to your first campsite!

Day 2 - Trek from Pauni Garaat to Kalkattiyadhaar

    • Pauni Garaat to Kalkattiyadhar is a distance of 7 km, which takes about 6 hours to complete. Today, we start in the early morning at 6. The trail crosses three garaat or hydroelectricity run chaffing units, which are used by the villagers for separating husks of millet and maize, followed by grounding to flour.
    • After crossing a log bridge, the trail turns for an ascent. The high trail winds further down, reaching a tabletop green stretch—Kalkattiyadhar; this will be your campsite for day 2.

Day 3 - Trek from Kalkattiyadhar to Har Ki Dun & back to Kalkattiyadhar

    • Today you will start your hiking early as compared to other days. However, mesmerizing views only were until today; get ready to encounter something more. The trail will go into the glacier basin, having moraines and alpine meadows.
    • The trail is a mixture of steep and moderate ascend until the Har Ki Dun valley. The huge peaks of Swargarohini, Hata Peak, Black Peak, etc., show their marveling glimpses.
    • After exploring the valley and creating memories for a lifetime, we return back to our last campsite at Kalkattiyadhar.

Day 4 - Trek from Kalkattiyadhar to Pauni Garaat via Osla

    • From today the trek is actually the return journey. Today we shall retrace the steps through the Oslo village to Pauni Garaat. Here's another chance to relive the moments with the peaceful villagers. Say goodbye to them and the stunning sights around you.
    • Follow the same trail as of earlier and reach the campsite of Pauni Garaat. Enjoy your last few moments of nightlife in the mountains.

Day 5 - Trek from Pauni Garaat to Taluka | Drive from Taluka to Sankri

    • A 5-hour trek to Taluka sets off this morning, climbing down by the familiar trail, stopping at familiar rest points. The car waits at the end of the trail by road to drive back towards base camp. Sankri will be reached just in time by evening.

    Book any other trek till one year or get 95% refund.

    Cancellation between 24 days and 14 days to the start of the trek
    Choose to go for the same trek, with any other batch, till a year or get 70% refund.

    Cancellation between 14 days and 10 days to the start of the trek
    Choose to go on the same trek, in the same season, with any other batch, or get 50% refund.

    Cancellation less than 10 days to the start of the trek
    Transfer your trek (same trek, same batch) to your friend—no cash refund.

    Note:-

    • Change of trek batch is dependent on the availability of seats in the batch.
    • In case of transferring a trek to a friend, he/she should satisfy all the mandatory requirements put forward by The Seller.
    • The Seller holds the right to change/cancel the policies, without prior notice.
    • Any kind of emergency evacuation charges will be paid by the customer.
    • Normally the seller expects to carry your personal luggage on your own, if you wish to offload your backpack, you can give it to Mule. Charges of offloading backpack :-
      • INR 1500/- if you make an online payment to the seller, 10 days in advance.
      • INR 1800/- if you inform seller after reaching Sankri.
      • The backpack cannot weigh more than 11 kgs. The backpack should have a waterproof cover. Suitcases/strolleys/bags will not be allowed.
  • Any refund applicable will be processed within 14 business days.
  • Any refund claims need to be done within 15 days of the date of travel

Advisory

    • Avoid smoking and consumption of alcohol while trekking.
    • Do not disturb local people or animals during trekking.
    • Do not try to harm nature in all terms.
    • Pay attention carefully to the trek guides and instructors so that you can enjoy trekking safely.
    • Do not trek during nights, this might lead to mishappenings.
    • Do not throw plastic bags here and there and try to maintain the decorum of the Himalayas.
    • Never take any medicines without consulting the trek guides.
    • If you don't know much about the place then don't roam around without a guide because mountains are unpredictable.
    • Avoid any kind of anti-religious comments and activity to respect the local religion, local people as well as your batch mates.
    • Carry your identity proofs like Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID etc.
    • Follow the Guidelines issued by the State-Government during your whole journey.
    • Maintain soial distancing in all manners.
    • Frequent hand sanitisation and use of mask recommended.
