Separated from fertile Lahaul by the soaring 4551m Kunzum La, the trans-Himalayan region of Spiti is another chunk of Tibet marooned in India. The scattered villages in this serrated moonscape arrive like mirages, clusters of whitewashed mud-brick homes huddled amid green barley fields below monasteries perched on crags a thousand feet above. The turquoise-grey ribbon of the Spiti River is your near-constant companion, running along a fairly broad valley before turning south at Sumdo into the precipitous gorges of the Hanging Valley. Spiti is a cold desert and winters bring out the extreme side of it. Journey Starts From Delhi
Our journey starts from the pick-up point (Majnu Ka Tila, Kashmeri Gate, Delhi) at 8:00 PM after meeting fellow travelers.
It will be an overnight journey via AC Traveller or an SUV.
Shimla - Chitkul/Kalpa
Our Spiti Valley Expedition begins by hitting the road of Shimla. We pass through popular towns of Sarahan and Rampur-Bushahr before entering the spectacular Kinnaur Valley.
Before entering Kalpa/ Chitkul, we catch a glimpse of the famous Kinner Kailash Peak - said to be the summer adobe of Lord Shiva.
Reaching Kalpa/ Chitkul by evening and check in to our hotel/ Swiss camps and have a dinner.
Kalpa - Giu - Tabo
After having beakfast we continue our trip from Kalpa to Spiti.
Reach Giu Monastery. It is one of the forgotten monastery of Spiti region which still has 800 years old mummy of a monk.
Then we go Giu to Tabo, a small village located at Indo-China border in Trans Himalaya region where the main attraction is Tabo Monastery.
And our day ends with an overnight stay and dinner.
Tabo - Pin Valley - Kaza
After having breakfast we'll leave for Kaza, capital of Spiti.
In between we will be confronted to Pin Valley National Park, an abode to magnificent flora and fauna of high Himalayas.
After reaching Kaza, we do check in to our hotel/homestay and have a dinner.
Kaza - Langza - Komic - Hikkim - Langza
After having breakfast we will take a zigzag uphill drive to the countryside of Spiti for visiting nearby villages and some of the famous places as well.
First village will be Langa, which is world-famous for Buddha Statue and fossils.
Just after it, we will visit Komic Village, which is the world's highest motorable village. There is also one age old monastery, which is home to stuffed leopard and other some interesting facts.
Next one is Hikkim, which has world's highest post office.
Then we come back to Kaza fo having a dinner with bonfire.
Kaza-Ki-Kibber - Chincham - Kaza
After having breakfast, we'll head towards the most iconic building of Spiti region, Ki Monastery.
An adventurous way from Ki takes us to Kibber, and we will be in a village that is very frequent destination for snow leopards to pay a visit.
There is one suspension bridge which connects Kibber village to Chincham village. The bridge is Asia's highest suspension bridge, and a sight to visit.
After exploring Chincham, we will get back to Kaza for having dinner and stay.
Kaza - Sangla/Kalpa
After having beakfast we will start our return journey to Kalpa via old Himalayan-Tibet road.
Reach Sangla/ Kalpa by evening where we will have our dinner and stay.
Kalpa - Shimla - Delhi
After having breakfast we will start our journey to Shimla.
Reach Shimla by evening and depart for Delhi via Volvo bus.
Back To Delhi
Reach Delhi by early morning and our trip ends here.
Transportation & Taxes
Meals During Transport
Trip schedule is subjected to change as per road, weather and other unavoidable conditions so take a day or two in the buffer. This is not an ordinary place its "Spiti".
Only Team members have the right to take a decision depending on the above.
Any extra cost (Transportation/ Accommodation) arising due to natural calamities like landslides, road blockage, political disturbances or change in law will be extra.
Any stay apart from the fixed schedule (as per the itinerary) will be extra.
Note 1: The itinerary is subject to favorable weather and road conditions. In case of bad weather and inaccessibility to certain destinations, we will try our best to make alternate plans. Though we do not consider refunds, we will reconsider it on case to case basis. We will try to refund you as much as we can if the tour gets canceled before the 3rd day of your tour, depending on the cancellation charges levied to us by hotels.
Note 2: The temperatures in Spiti Valley dip up to -20 degree Celsius in winters. We advise the clients to buy suitable clothing and gear for winters. People of Spiti live in this place throughout the year without expensive warm wear so there is nothing to be afraid of. The homestays are well insulated with a traditional/electric heater in the rooms. The homestays will have dry compost toilets in winter.
Note3: Most hotels will be closed in Spiti during winters, only homestays will be available. At other places, we will provide you hotels. We will provide you heated rooms at Homestays in Spiti and at hotels in other places. Homestays will have common dry pit compost toilets.

The organizer & Eventskite reserves the right to evict any camper anytime without any refund if his/her actions violate any rules.
All guests must carry a valid Government Id proof.
We will not entertain any refunds/adjustments in case of any natural factors arising during the trip which might result in a change in the itinerary/transportation due to which any extra cost is beared. That cost has to be beared by the clients only.
Cost and consequences arising due to any force major situations due to unforeseen circumstances like natural calamities, political disturbances, health issues, delays/cancellations, things beyond our control, etc will be borne by the client.
Any damage to our booked properties/transportation by any individual will be charged from him/her only. Any injury during any activity, we will not be responsible for any mishappenings
