Kedarnath Dham is considered one of the paramount temples for the worshipers of Lord Shiva. The magnificent shrine is located in the Rudraprayag region of Uttarakhand. The holy shrine is accessible from major destinations of Uttarakhand and the motorable road stretches till Gaurikund on way towards Kedarnath. After reaching Gaurikund, it’s a 14-kilometer trek towards the holy shrine. One can avail of helicopter services during the peak season of Kedarnath yatra. Ponnies and palanquins are also available for the yatra.
The journey appears to be hard but it is worth it as you will be witnessing the divine enchanting beauty of the magnificent shrine. The spiritual atmosphere and the name of lord Shiva enchanted by the worshipers all around will leave you to spell bounded and in tears of joy. The majestic peak of Kedarnath which is about 6930 meters stands exactly behind the Dham making the atmosphere utterly divine.
